Here is what you need to hear, one more time. Thank you for sitting next to me when I was sick, when I had surgeries, and even when I delivered your grandbaby Hannah. Thank you for knowing that I loved you even when my attitude was otherwise.
There have been times recently when I have been snippy it is because I can only hope that you will be around for a long, long time. This is your chance. I guess you could say that one April morning in really changed the course of our lives immensely.
I am constantly in awe of your faithfulness.
Mom, you are amazing. My life has been so rich and beautiful, and I have been so loved and treasured, because you are my mom. You attended every recital, play, football game, and cheerleading competition. There are so many more stories that I could write about, but you know that they are wonderful memories forever etched in my heart and locked in a precious box in my mind and that I thank you from the bottom of my heart to the tips of my toes.
I will never stop being impressed that you have let these trials grow you into a oak tree, a pillar of faith.
You have taught me to dream fearlessly. You have loved me unconditionally through every phase in my life. Yes, you had your ups and downs but for someone reason, maybe it was due to the youngest siblings but you managed to forgive and forget all that both of you ever disagreed on.
I am healthier, more driven, and more emotionally fulfilled than at any other point in my life and that is in large part because of you. Because I love you. Because the truth is that I love you more than words could say. I love you with all my heart. I see it now, mom, I see it now.
I see the love, caring, prayers, working, helping, cleaning, counting to ten, creativity, baking, shopping, no sleeping, driving, cheering, and all that mom stuff — that is totally awesome — that you did for me and my siblings.
I love you for so many reasons, I love you because you taught me respect, I love you because you did not ever neglect, I love you because you allowed us to be children I love you because you disciplined with love, I love you because you taught me how to bake, I love you because you taught me how to cook, I love you because even when I failed you never gave up, I love you because you make me smile, I love you because you love unconditionally, I love you because you never placed any conditions on me, I love you because you believed in me, I love you because through any sorrow you are my sunshine, I love you for so many other reasons and these are only a few, but I love you simply because you are only you!

It has to come from your heart. Dear Mom; I know it isn’t, much but I’ve decided to write you a little letter to tell you everything you mean to me. I was looking for cards for you the other day, something that you would like, and that could get my point across but wasn’t to mushy. My life has been so rich and beautiful, and I have been so loved and treasured, because you are my mom.
I look forward to the future with pure joy and anticipation, for my kids and your grandbabies to learn from you, a whole new generation of little ones for you to love and influence and take delight in. dear mom you are amazing Today’s letter is an actual letter to my own mother thanking her for all she did combined with an open letter to mothers in the midst of the journey.
